May 2011 saw the launch of The Atlantic Hotel’s cookbook ‘Ocean Voyage’ with 60 mouth-watering recipes illustrated with breathtaking photography in this 200-page book.
Ocean Voyage was commissioned to celebrate the continued success of Ocean Restaurant. As well as Mark Jordan’s rise to Michelin stardom, Ocean Voyage also charts the evolution of the hotel’s dining room, detailing its development from the days of full board holidays in the 1970’s to today’s outstanding Ocean Restaurant. Through these pages readers will discover how Mark Jordan’s pursuit of quality in his kitchen mirrors that of The Atlantic Hotel’s owner Patrick Burke.
Ocean Voyage contains an array of recipes including mouth watering delights such as ‘Ravioli of duck, seared langoustine tails and sherry veal jus,’ ‘Pan roasted fillets of sole with crab-crushed Jersey Royals’ and ‘Hot passion fruit soufflé with chocolate sauce’.
