Rewild Carbon
We are proud to support Rewild Carbon, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust’s carbon balancing programme.
The programme aims to reduce carbon in the atmosphere by rewilding threatened ecosystems which are rich in wildlife. Their current project is in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil which is one of the most species-rich habitats on the planet, yet only 6% of it remains, in scattered fragments. The team are planting thousands of native trees in order to reconnect the forest and create essential lifelines for wildlife.
Through our accreditation with EarthCheck, the world’s leading benchmarking organisation for sustainability in hotels, we are working hard to reduce our carbon footprint. However, we wanted to do more to compensate for those emissions that cannot be avoided.
We are aware that many of our guests are looking for ways in which they can travel more responsibly and support nature during their stay. Through our partnership with Rewild Carbon, guests are invited to support reforestation and habitat restoration through a voluntary donation of £1 per guest, per night.
Every donation contributes directly to Rewild Carbon’s work to restore biodiversity and protect natural habitats in Jersey and beyond. This optional contribution enables guests to support meaningful conservation projects while helping to create a wilder, healthier, more colourful world.
