Ocean Restaurant a front-runner for Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year Award 2013
With only a month left to vote, Ocean Restaurant is in real contention for this prestigious award, which recognises culinary excellence and good service at the very best restaurants across ten UK regions. The ten regional winners will be announced on Monday 28th May 2012 and the overall winner of Restaurant of the Year 2013 will be announced in the summer.
Last year’s awards saw more than 27,500 diners nominate their favourite restaurant and thousands of votes have already been cast this year. Ocean Restaurant is one of only five restaurants in the whole of the South West region to be named as a front-runner.
Commenting on the position at this halfway stage, Atlantic Hotel Owner Patrick Burke said: “We are delighted to have been short-listed for this very special award and would like to thank everyone who has already voted for Ocean Restaurant. There is still time left to vote for Ocean Restaurant and our fantastic team so we are hopeful that the votes will continue to come in right up to the last minute. This is a really great chance to promote Jersey and the outstanding quality of the island’s produce through the seasons, which is something that the Good Food Guide clearly recognises as a supporter of local, independent restaurants.”
2012 is set to be another busy year for the team at Ocean Restaurant which already holds an impressive array of accolades, including a much coveted Michelin star and four AA Rosettes, placing it amongst the top restaurants in the UK.
