Jeremy Wayne is the restaurant editor of Tatler, a Condé Nast title, with the wealthiest readership of all Condé Nast's publications. A prominent food and travel writer, Jeremy Wayne has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. Jeremy was previously restaurant editor of the Guide section of The Guardian for 14 years and is the UK correspondent for Food & Wine.  He has also contributed to the food and travel pages of The Sunday Times, Vogue, Vanity Fair and Gourmet, and has appeared in two series of Masterchef.

Following his recent stay at The Atlantic, Wayne was undoubtedly impressed with the hotel and the Island, describing Ocean Restaurant as: “the antithesis of country house dreary” and enthuses about the restaurant being “all white, all bright, with beautiful handmade furniture and, through the American shutters at dusk, a fiery orange ball - that famous Jersey sunset, when the sun sinks on the horizon.”

He describes Executive Head Chef Mark Jordan’s cooking as “a celebration of the fantastically rich mer et terroir – Jersey sole and brill, Jersey pork and beef and Jersey oysters, which in my view have no equal anywhere in Britain or Ireland.”

Recounting his visit to sister property Mark Jordan at the Beach he said “It’s all spanking fresh, and the service is so good, so sweet, that a lot of London restaurants could take a leaf out of this book.”

Patrick Burke, owner of The Atlantic Hotel and co-owner of Mark Jordan at the Beach is understandably delighted to receive such positive recognition in such a high profile title: “I am thrilled that Jeremy was impressed with both Ocean Restaurant and our more relaxed offering at Mark Jordan at the Beach. I am delighted with the success that we are having in helping to raise the profile of the island as a destination for good food – as Jeremy puts it so succinctly, Forget Rock – Jersey rocks!”
