The Atlantic Hotel’s Concierge Shortlisted for Small Luxury Hotels of the World Hotel Hero Award

The Atlantic Hotel is delighted to announce that Concierge, Nathan Rowland, was shortlisted for the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) Hotel Hero Award.

As SLH marks 35 years of celebrating independently minded stays, this year’s awards spotlighted the hotels and individuals redefining boutique luxury across the globe. The Hotel Hero Award recognises an on-property team member who sets the benchmark for excellence, going above and beyond in the true SLH spirit.

The 2025 SLH Awards Ceremony took place at the Conrad Tokyo on 17 October 2025, where Patrick Burke, Owner of The Atlantic Hotel, was in attendance alongside leading hoteliers and industry figures from around the world.

Patrick Burke commented: “We are immensely proud of Nathan for being shortlisted for this prestigious international award. His warmth, professionalism, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences perfectly embodies the spirit of both The Atlantic Hotel and Small Luxury Hotels of the World. It’s a great honour to see Jersey represented among such an inspiring global community of boutique hotels.”

Being recognised by Small Luxury Hotels of the World places both Nathan and The Atlantic Hotel among an exceptional group of properties known for their individuality, authenticity, and dedication to excellence.

SLH is the most desirable community of independently minded travellers and independently spirited hotels in the world. Personally visiting, verifying and vetting every one of its 650 hotels in more than 90 countries, SLH ensures that each property is unique — proudly anti-chain and anti-same. With an average of just 50 rooms per hotel, SLH properties offer secluded, discreet luxury with an unwavering commitment to guest wellbeing.

Patrick Burke added: “It was a privilege to attend the SLH Awards in Tokyo and to connect with so many remarkable hoteliers from across the globe. Having Jersey showcased on this international stage can only reinforce the island’s growing reputation for world-class hospitality.”
