The Atlantic Hotel appoints new assistant manager

James Peters, former hotel manager of the five-star Marcliffe Hotel & Spa in Scotland, has joined The Atlantic Hotel as assistant manager.

 

In addition to undertaking the general management of the hotel alongside hotel manager, Scott Andrews, Mr Peters’ role will also incorporate responsibility for coordinating all events at the four red-star, four rosette establishment.

 

Mr Peters joins The Atlantic following 10 years in the hospitality industry, working for The Bay Hotel & Leisure Complex, DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen City, Prestonfield House Hotel, Edinburgh as well as The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa.

 

Discussing his new role, Mr Peters said, ’I’m honoured to be joining such a long established, family owned hotel which boasts such high standards and quality service. As events coordinator I’m looking forward to working with our corporate and leisure customers to ensure their events are as special as they possibly can be.’

 

‘James has an impressive background in the hospitality industry, having worked at a number of well known hotels in the UK. We are delighted to welcome James to the team and are confident that he will help us maintain and continue to build on the high standards of service that The Atlantic has become known for,’ said owner and Managing Director, Patrick Burke.

 

Mr Peters’ qualifications include HNC Professional Cookery, WSET Level 2 and the National Certificate for Personal Licence holders amongst others.

 

We are also delighted to annouce that Andrew Esson who first joined The Atlantic Hotel in 2014 as a Hall Porter before moving up to the position of Senior Hall Porter in 2015, has been promoted to Junior Assistant Manager.

 

Born in Scotland and educated at Strathclyde University, Andrew is an extremely engaging host and likes to focus his attention on delivering the highest standards of customer service, from making recommendations on the best beaches to visit to ensuring that guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay.
