Patrick Burke profiled in Boutique Hotelier

Patrick Burke, owner and managing director of The Atlantic Hotel has had his career in hospitality and The Atlantic’s family-led approach to the hotel and restaurant business profiled in a comprehensive feature in respected industry magazine Boutique Hotelier.

Featuring on the front cover, Patrick was interviewed as a result of his dedication to The Atlantic Hotel and to the boutique hotel industry. Tracing the history of the hotel which was originally founded by Patrick’s father in 1970, the four page feature was written following a visit to Jersey by editor Zoe Monk. The piece explores in detail the challenges of running a seasonal business in the Channel Islands and highlights the extensive efforts made by Patrick and his team to ensure that The Atlantic has remained one of Jersey’s finest hotels over such an extended period.

Boutique Hotelier provides business intelligence for owners, operators and decision makers in boutique, lifestyle and design-led properties. The market-leading monthly magazine and online portal, including daily e-newsletters, is the only publication targeted at the boutique hospitality sector. The website Boutiquehotelier.com has more than 13,000 monthly unique users.

Commenting on the feature, Patrick Burke said: “Making the cover of Boutique Hotelier is a massive honour for all of us at The Atlantic and a fabulous opportunity to share the developing story of Jersey’s hospitality industry with a national audience. We very much enjoyed hosting the editor and spending time sharing our experience of running a seasonal business on a small island. In the current series Zoe Monk is visiting many of the finest independent hotels in the country so we are understandably proud that a Jersey hotel has been taken on board in this way.”
