La Moye Golf Club Jersey
La Moye is a challenging, though rewarding course, and suited to those that play golf fairly regularly. As a visiting golfer, tee times are best booked weekdays, but if you have to play at the weekends, afternoons are better. Early evening rounds are the most rewarding making the most of the sunset on this course that has spectacular views of St Ouens Bay. This is my favourite course on the island to play in the evenings, on a beautiful summer day.
Dress code and shoes are important at La Moye Golf Club, as it is a traditional golf course with strict etiquette. It has a no denim policy, shirts must have a collar and be tucked in, and you will need dress shoes to go inside the clubhouse.
While staying at The Atlantic hotel, you will have the opportunity to get a tee time at La Moye golf course. It will cost £40 for 9 holes and £75 for 18 holes. It is a tough course and there is a handicap limit of 24 for men and 30 for women. You will be able to get tee times after 9.30 am during the week, and after 2 pm on weekends. It’s always best to play on weekdays, if you can, as the weekends tend to be busy with members. I always love playing at La Moye in the early evening. There is no better course in Jersey to play golf and enjoy the sun setting, it is just incredible.
The course tends to be busy with different leagues on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday all day, and Thursday mornings so I would advise trying to avoid these times to make your round enjoyable.
You will be able to hire a set of clubs for £18 for 18 holes which include a trolley if you wish.
