Taittinger

Taittinger is one of the last great independent Champagne houses owned and actively managed by the family named on the label. The founder, Pierre Taittinger, bought in 1932 the Forest and Fourneaux house which was created in 1734. The current director is Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and he is assisted by his daughter and his son, Vitalie and Clovis. They are guardians of style, quality and integrity. The hallmark of their fine Champagne is the highest proportion of Chardonnay used in their winemaking to produce elegant and delicate Champagne.

The Friday and Saturday events of Eat Jersey will see House of Taittinger Champagne being served to diners.

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust is an international charity working to save species from extinction. Headquartered at Jersey Zoo in the Channel Islands, Durrell focuses on the most threatened species in the most threatened places.

Established by author and conservationist, Gerald Durrell, in 1959, Durrell’s overall aim is for more diverse, beautiful and resilient natural landscapes in which species can thrive and people can enjoy a deeper connection with nature. Their approach concentrates on the rewilding of animals, the rewilding of ecosystems and the rewilding of people.
