Mark Jordan at the Beach included alongside the Best of Britain in the Tatler Restaurant Guide 2014

Mark Jordan at the Beach, the sister restaurant to Ocean restaurant at The Atlantic Hotel has been listed in the prestigious Tatler Restaurant Guide 2014.

The Tatler Restaurant Guide 2014 was launched at the annual Tatler Restaurant Awards, held at The Savoy hotel in London on Tuesday, 6th May, attended by Patrick and Treena Burke and Mark and Magda Jordan, co-owners of Mark Jordan at the Beach.

The Tatler Restaurant Guide 2014 is a collection of esteemed food writer and restaurant editor Jeremy Wayne’s personal favourites and hottest recommendations for the year. The review of Mark Jordan at the Beach features in the ‘Best of Britain’ section of the guide alongside The Cary Arms at Babbacombe beach in Devon and The Hand & Flowers in Marlow, the country’s leading gastro-pub.

Wayne describes Mark Jordan at the Beach as “perfectly conceived”, praising the freshness of the dishes with “service so good that a lot of London restaurants could take a leaf out of its book”.

Commenting on the inclusion in the guide, Patrick Burke, owner of The Atlantic Hotel and co-owner of Mark Jordan at the Beach said, “We are incredibly pleased and proud to see Mark Jordan at the Beach listed in the Tatler Restaurant Guide 2014. This is a fantastic achievement for a Jersey restaurant and comes on the back of the award of a Michelin Bib Gourmand for offering good food at a reasonable price.”

Mark Jordan, Executive Head Chef of both Ocean Restaurant at The Atlantic Hotel and Mark Jordan at the Beach added, “It’s all about using local produce and cooking from the heart. We believe we’ve created the perfect combination of informal dining and outstanding food cooked simply in an amazing location.”
