Atlantic WINS ‘Most Excellent Waterside Hotel’ at Conde Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2013

On Monday 5th November, Jersey’s Atlantic Hotel was crowned winner of the ‘Most Excellent Waterside Hotel’ award at the prestigious Conde Nast Johansens UK and Ireland Awards for Excellence 2013.

The Atlantic was the only hotel in the Channel Islands to have been shortlisted for an award and this is the fourth time that The Atlantic Hotel has been a recipient of a major award from Conde Nast Johansens.

Winners of the coveted awards are selected from the very best hotels, restaurants and spas in Great Britain, Ireland and Continental Europe and the family owned Atlantic Hotel beat very stiff competition to the title of ‘Most Excellent Waterside Hotel’ with Hambleton Hall (Rutland), The Captain’s Club (Dorest) and The Nare (Cornwall & Isles of Scilly) all in the same category.

The 2013 judging panel commented, “The Atlantic Hotel in Jersey is the object of continuous and thoughtful investment by its owner, who places the needs of his guests first. Be spoiled by excellent service and admire the contemporary interior decorated with vibrant island art.”

Atlantic Owner and Managing Director, Patrick Burke expressed his utter elation saying: “Wow, we were aware that we were up against very tough competition when we heard the names of the wonderful establishments that were also shortlisted in our category and so were surprised and delighted when our name was announced as the winner. We continually strive for excellence at our hotel and invest in the property and our people to ensure all customers receive the highest quality of service from the moment they walk through our doors. We view this as an award for all of our team and all of the people who work with us and support us, from Jersey Tourism through to local producers. We all work together to ensure that The Atlantic Hotel remains at the top of its game.”
