Most Excellent Waterside Hotel
Jersey's Atlantic Hotel has won the Conde Nast Johansens UK and Ireland 2010 Award for Most Excellent Waterside Hotel. The winners were revealed at the 28th Annual Awards Dinner and 2010 Guides Launch at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge, London on the evening of Monday 9 November 2009.
These prestigious awards are based on responses from guest nomination forms, guest survey reports and regional inspector reports drawn from the hotels featured in the Johansens UK and Ireland guide. The judges commented, "This stunning hotel is the object of continuous and thoughtful investment by its owner who places the needs of his guests first. Be spoiled by superb service and contemporary interiors that are decorated with vibrant island art."
The Atlantic is the only hotel in the Channel Islands to have been featured in the very first edition of the Johansens guide 28 years ago still to be recommended today. This is the third time that The Atlantic has been the recipient of a major award from Johansens over the years.
