Michelin Star For Ocean Restaurant

Ocean Restaurant at Jersey's Atlantic Hotel has been named as one of thirteen restaurants to be newly recognised at one star level at the launch of the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2007. This year's guide highlights 122 establishments with stars covering all areas from the Channel Islands to Scotland and Ireland.

The guide offers a selection of the best hotels and restaurants in the country in every category of comfort and price with its coveted Michelin stars being awarded to establishments serving food of the highest quality. They are attributed according to five criteria: the quality of ingredients, the skill in preparing them and in combining flavours, the level of creativity, the consistency of culinary standards and value for money.

Atlantic Managing Director Patrick Burke said "winning a Michelin Star is a dream come true for all of us at The Atlantic. I would particularly like to pay tribute to the dedication and professionalism of Head Chef, Mark Jordan, Restaurant Manager, Sandro Tiboni and General Manager, Jason Adams, all of whom have worked so hard to establish Ocean as one of the finest restaurants in the British Isles."
