Jersey's Atlantic Hotel Launches New Restaurant

Following the successful completion of its annual refurbishment programme, The Atlantic Hotel re-opens on Thursday 3 February with a new restaurant – Ocean. Leading on from the appointment of new Head Chef, Mark Jordan last July, Ocean Restaurant will offer one of the finest dining experiences in the Channel Islands.

Atlantic Managing Director, Patrick Burke said “Ocean Restaurant provides the perfect setting for Mark’s stunning new menus and at a cost of some £250,000 underlines our ambition to be up there with the very best hotels in the UK.”

Interior designer, Julian Reed has continued to develop his vision of The Atlantic which began with the hotel’s millennium project. His design is again influenced by the hotel’s coastal setting with blues, whites and beiges dominating the modern classic look. Highlight features include American shutters, hand crafted rosewood and mahogany furniture, high backed sensuously curved dining chairs and specially commissioned contemporary artwork. A private dining room, the Italian Room, has been created alongside Ocean Restaurant with its own dramatic change of mood.

New table settings feature china from Villeroy and Boch, glassware from Riedel and crisp white linen from De Witte Lietaer. Jason Adams, General Manager at The Atlantic, said “The continuing investment by the Burke family allows us to aim for the pinnacle of hotelkeeping. I believe that with hard work and determination we will set a new standard for Jersey. Our goal is to offer our clients the best of everything.”
