2009 Conde Nast Johansens Most Excellent Waterside Hotel
The Atlantic was announced as Conde Nast Johansens Most Excellent Waterside hotel in the UK and Ireland. These awards are based on responses from guest nomination forms, guest survey reports and regional inspector reports. The Atlantic's restaurant, Ocean was shortlisted for the Most Excellent Hotel Restaurant category.
2008 Website Shortlisted for Award
The Atlantic website was shortlisted in the Best Hotel Website category in the 2008 Travolution Awards. These awards recognise and reward web design excellence in the highly competitive travel and tourism industry. Travolution is the UK's leading business magazine for the online travel market.
2007 Michelin Star
Ocean Restaurant was named as one of thirteen restaurants to be newly recognised at one star level at the launch of the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2007. The 2007 guide highlighted 122 establishments with stars covering all areas from the Channel Islands to Scotland and Ireland.
2006 TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Award
The Atlantic Hotel was voted into the top ten in the 100 Best Luxury Hotels in the World in the TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice Awards, placing it as the highest rated hotel in the United Kingdom and fifth in Europe. These awards are particularly coveted in the travel industry as they represent the unbiased opinions of millions of real travellers who share their comments on the TripAdvisor website.
2006 Condé Nast Johansens Award for Excellence
The Atlantic Hotel won the Condé Nast Johansens Award for Excellence in the Outstanding Service category, UK & Ireland. The winners were announced at a special 25 th anniversary ceremony at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London.
2006 Michelin Rising Star
Ocean Restaurant was awarded a Rising Star in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2006 making it one of three establishments tipped for a Michelin Star in 2007.
2005 AA Three Rosettes
Ocean Restaurant was awarded three AA Rosettes for culinary excellence in the AA Restaurant Guide 2006 – one of the highest accolades it is possible to receive. The Atlantic's restaurant previously held two AA Rosettes for many years.
2005 Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year
The Atlantic Hotel was named Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year 2005. The newly introduced annual award was for the hotel offering the highest standard of hospitality and service, and followed nominations from the AA and RAC and an undercover visit by James Brown, Chief Executive of The Academy of Food and Wine Service.
2004 RAC Gold Ribbon
The Atlantic Hotel was awarded the RAC Gold Ribbon – the highest accolade awarded by the organisation. This supreme award was given following an overnight, incognito inspection and recognised hotels at the very pinnacle within their star rating.
2002 AA Courtesy and Care Award
The Atlantic Hotel was selected by the AA's hotel inspectors to receive the Courtesy and Care Award for England 2002 – 2003. The award is made to hotels where the staff offer exceptionally high standards of courtesy and care. National awards are made each year for England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
2002 AA Top 200 Hotels
The Atlantic Hotel was selected as one of the AA's Top 200 Hotels in Britain and Ireland 2002 – 2003. This is the AA's supreme accolade denoted by red stars and used to identify hotels that stand out as the very best in the country, regardless of size or type of operation.
2000 RAC Blue Ribbon
The Atlantic Hotel was awarded an RAC Blue Ribbon. This prestigious accolade was given to hotels which consistently demonstrate a commitment to high quality standards in all aspects of hotelkeeping, guest care and service. The award was presented to Atlantic Managing Director Patrick Burke at the RAC Awards Ceremony held at London's Café Royal.
2000 Jersey Tourism Five Suns
The Atlantic Hotel was awarded a Five Sun grade by Jersey Tourism. The new grade followed the completion of the hotel's £3.5 million Millennium Project. The Atlantic became one of only two Five Sun properties on the island.
1999 Johansens Most Excellent Business Meeting Venue of the Year
The Atlantic Hotel won Johansens Most Excellent Business Meeting Venue (Hotel) of the Year Award. This prestigious award is presented each year in recognition of the exceptionally high standards achieved by a hotel or dedicated business meeting venue.
